Terms of Service

Last updated: September 12, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Reframe website, Framer plugin, CLI, APIs, documentation, exported components, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). “Reframe,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the Reframe business operating the Services. “You” means the individual or legal entity using the Services.

By creating an account, installing the plugin or CLI, purchasing a plan, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization.

1. The Services

Reframe provides tools that help developers publish Framer components and use generated React, TypeScript, JavaScript, JSX, CSS, assets, metadata, and related files in their own projects. Features may include a Framer plugin, authenticated export APIs, a command-line interface, component versioning, generated type information, documentation, account management, and paid plans.

The Services may change over time. We may add, remove, limit, suspend, or modify features, provided that we handle paid-plan commitments and legally required notices appropriately. We do not guarantee that every Framer feature, component, animation, dependency, browser, runtime, or framework will be supported indefinitely.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally capable of entering a binding agreement. If you are below the age at which you can consent to online services in your jurisdiction, use the Services only with the involvement and permission of a parent, guardian, or authorized organization where permitted.

You must provide accurate information, keep it current, and protect credentials associated with your account. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by anyone who receives access from you. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not share, sell, transfer, or sublicense an account except where we expressly permit it. We may require verification, limit sessions or devices, revoke compromised credentials, or refuse account names that impersonate another person or violate rights.

3. Authentication and CLI credentials

The CLI may use a browser-based device-authentication flow. You are responsible for entering approval codes only on the official Reframe site, reviewing the account shown before approving, and keeping issued tokens private. Do not paste tokens into tickets, repositories, generated code, CI logs, screenshots, or public discussions.

We may expire, rotate, revoke, or limit tokens for security, account, plan, or operational reasons. The CLI may require you to authenticate again. We are not liable for losses caused by your failure to protect credentials or by use of an unofficial or modified client.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover source code or non-public implementation details of the Services, except where a restriction is prohibited by law;
  • bypass authentication, rate limits, usage limits, payment controls, access controls, project permissions, or security features;
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services without our prior written authorization;
  • interfere with the Services, overload infrastructure, introduce malicious code, or use automated access in a way that is abusive or disproportionate;
  • use the Services to create malware, credential theft tools, spam, fraud, harassment, or unlawful content;
  • upload secrets, payment credentials, private keys, regulated data, or personal information that you do not have the right to process;
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
  • use another person’s account or project without authorization;
  • misrepresent an export as an official Reframe product or imply endorsement where none exists; or
  • use the Services to compete with, clone, or reproduce non-public Reframe systems or content, except as permitted by applicable law or an express written license.

We may investigate suspected violations, preserve relevant information, limit access, remove content, revoke tokens, or suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, Reframe, third parties, or the Services.

5. Framer projects and your content

You retain ownership of content and materials you submit or make available through the Services, including your project designs, component logic, text, images, fonts, videos, source materials, and other assets (“Your Content”). You represent that you have the rights, permissions, licenses, and lawful basis necessary for Reframe to process Your Content and provide the Services.

You grant Reframe a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, transform, cache, execute, display, and otherwise process Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, maintain, and improve the Services, create exports you request, prevent abuse, and comply with law. This license ends when the relevant processing ends, except for residual backups, aggregated information, legal records, or rights needed to resolve disputes and enforce these Terms.

You are responsible for reviewing component exports before using or distributing them. Reframe does not verify that you own every asset in a project, that an export satisfies a third-party license, or that generated code is suitable for a particular use.

6. Generated exports and your projects

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, you may use the generated files delivered to you for your own projects and products. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, Reframe does not claim ownership of Your Content or the project-specific code and assets generated from it.

Your rights to third-party materials remain subject to their licenses. Framer materials, fonts, images, videos, icons, dependencies, APIs, and other included or referenced resources may have separate terms. An export may include notices, attribution requirements, package dependencies, or code that you must preserve.

Reframe may retain export metadata, revisions, identifiers, and checksums to provide versioning, updates, support, security, and account features. Deleting an account or export may not remove copies already downloaded, committed, deployed, backed up, or shared outside Reframe.

7. Plans, fees, and billing

Current plan descriptions and prices are shown on the Reframe pricing page and may be updated for future purchases. The current intended pricing model is:

Starter

  • $5 per month when billed monthly;
  • $41 per year when billed yearly;
  • 10 component exports per month;
  • 1 project;
  • CLI access;
  • production-ready exports;
  • commercial use; and
  • standard updates.

Pro

  • $12 per month when billed monthly;
  • $99 per year when billed yearly;
  • unlimited component exports;
  • unlimited projects and components;
  • CLI access;
  • production-ready exports;
  • commercial use;
  • all product updates; and
  • priority support.

Lifetime Pro

  • $199 one time at the launch price;
  • unlimited component exports;
  • unlimited projects and components;
  • CLI access;
  • commercial use;
  • all future Reframe updates;
  • priority support; and
  • pay once, use forever, subject to these Terms and continued operation of the Services.

The Lifetime Pro launch price is a limited launch offer and is not a promise that the price will remain available permanently. A billing toggle does not change the Lifetime Pro price.

Prices may exclude taxes, duties, transaction charges, or currency-conversion charges unless the checkout expressly includes them. You are responsible for applicable taxes except taxes imposed on Reframe’s net income. The final amount, currency, renewal date, and any applicable tax are shown at checkout or on the invoice.

8. Renewals and cancellation

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing interval unless you cancel before the renewal date through the available account or Polar payment controls. Cancelling stops future renewal; it does not generally refund the current paid period unless required by law, the checkout terms, or an express Reframe refund commitment.

If a payment fails, Polar may retry it and we may restrict paid features or suspend the subscription after reasonable notice. You remain responsible for amounts properly incurred before cancellation or suspension.

Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. It does not guarantee that every future feature, third-party integration, hosting region, or version of Framer or React will be supported. “Pay once, use forever” means continued access to the Lifetime Pro benefits while Reframe operates the relevant Services, subject to these Terms, acceptable use, security, and any legally required limitations.

Refunds, statutory cancellation rights, and consumer protections vary by location. Nothing in these Terms limits a non-waivable right. Where a refund policy or checkout term gives you a more specific right, that term controls for the relevant purchase.

9. Commercial use

Paid Starter, Pro, and Lifetime Pro plans include commercial use of the generated exports within the limits of the purchased plan. Commercial use does not transfer ownership of Reframe’s software, documentation, trademarks, APIs, or infrastructure, and it does not override licenses for third-party content included in an export.

You may include eligible generated code in websites, applications, products, client work, and other commercial projects. You may not resell the Reframe Services themselves, redistribute account credentials, or package Reframe’s proprietary runtime or infrastructure as a competing export service without written permission.

10. Support and updates

Support levels correspond to the plan description and the channels Reframe makes available. Priority support does not guarantee a response time, a particular fix, custom development, or support for every third-party dependency.

Updates may include bug fixes, security improvements, generated-output changes, documentation changes, dependency updates, new capabilities, or breaking changes required by Framer, React, Node.js, browsers, hosting providers, or security requirements. You are responsible for reviewing updates and testing them in your project before deploying them.

11. Third-party services and dependencies

The Services may interact with Framer, GitHub, Google, Polar, hosting providers, package registries, image hosts, analytics vendors, and other third parties. Third-party services are not controlled by Reframe and may change or become unavailable. Their terms, licenses, and privacy policies apply to your use of them.

Generated projects may require npm packages, fonts, assets, browser APIs, WebGL support, or other dependencies. You are responsible for installing, updating, licensing, securing, and operating dependencies in your own environment. Reframe does not warrant that every export will run unchanged in every framework, bundler, browser, operating system, or deployment target.

12. Intellectual property

The Services, including Reframe branding, website design, plugin interface, CLI implementation, documentation, non-user-generated code, APIs, workflows, and other materials provided by Reframe, are owned by Reframe or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights. “Reframe,” logos, product names, and associated marks may not be used without permission in a way that suggests sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or ideas, you grant Reframe a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, reproduce, and incorporate that feedback without compensation or attribution, provided we do not disclose confidential information you included accidentally.

13. Copyright complaints

If you believe content processed through the Services infringes your copyright or other rights, contact Reframe with enough information to identify the material, explain your rights, and provide a reliable method for follow-up. We may remove or restrict material, notify the relevant account holder, and take other action required by law or appropriate to the circumstances.

14. Confidentiality

Each party may receive non-public information from the other. The receiving party will use reasonable care to protect confidential information and use it only for the relationship. Confidential information does not include information that is public without breach, already known without restriction, independently developed, lawfully received from another source, or required to be disclosed by law after reasonable notice where legally allowed.

Do not submit information to the Services that requires a higher level of confidentiality than the Services are designed to provide, including production secrets, regulated records, or sensitive personal data, unless we have agreed to appropriate terms in writing.

15. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES AND GENERATED OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” REFRAME DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available in every location, compatible with every project, or free of harmful code. We do not warrant that an export will preserve every design detail, animation, dependency, asset, variant, breakpoint, or interaction. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, securing, and deploying generated output.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REFRAME AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR EXPECTED SAVINGS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF REFRAME FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO REFRAME FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS. FOR A FREE OR TRIAL USE, THE LIMIT IS ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law, or to liability that cannot legally be limited, including certain fraud, willful misconduct, or personal-injury claims.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Reframe and its personnel from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from: (a) Your Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Services; (c) your violation of these Terms or law; (d) your infringement of another person’s rights; or (e) activity under your account.

We may assume exclusive control of the defense of a claim subject to indemnification, and you will reasonably cooperate. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by Reframe or imposes an obligation on Reframe without our written consent.

18. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account closure through the available controls. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, non-payment, security risk, abuse, legal requirement, or operational reasons. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

After termination, your right to use account-only features ends. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, fees owed, acceptable-use consequences, disclaimers, limitations, indemnification, dispute terms, and interpretation—survive termination. Termination does not automatically revoke rights you already have in eligible generated output, but it also does not affect third-party licenses or obligations.

19. Disputes and governing law

These Terms and disputes related to the Services will be governed by the applicable law governing the relationship between you and Reframe, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts or another dispute forum with lawful jurisdiction will have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer or local law.

Before filing a formal claim, the parties will try in good faith to resolve the dispute through written notice and a reasonable discussion period, unless urgent injunctive relief or applicable law makes that impractical. This section will be updated with the final legal entity, governing law, venue, and any required arbitration or consumer-dispute language before publication.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, pricing, law, security practices, or business operations. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise. If you continue using the Services after the effective date, you agree to the updated Terms.

21. General terms

These Terms, together with documents expressly incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement about the Services and replace earlier terms on the same subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent needed and the remaining provisions will remain effective. A waiver must be written and applies only to the specific instance. You may not assign these Terms without our consent, except in connection with a permitted corporate reorganization; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, employment, fiduciary, or joint-venture relationship. Headings are for convenience. These Terms do not grant rights to third parties except where expressly stated.

22. Contact

Questions about these Terms, billing, or the Services may be sent through the feedback link in the Reframe interface or the contact address published at reframe.elxr.studio. Do not include passwords, access tokens, private keys, or other secrets in a support request.
